Dr. Jordan Purewal is a fellowship-trained bariatric and general surgeon specializing in bariatric and minimally invasive general surgery. With extensive experience in sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, and the LINX reflux management system, Dr. Purewal brings a high level of technical skill and clinical judgment to each patient interaction.
Dr. Purewal completed his general surgery residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he developed a solid foundation in both routine and complex surgical care. He went on to complete a highly competitive fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at UT Health Houston in partnership with BMI of Texas.
There, he received advanced training in robotic surgery, complex revisional bariatric procedures, foregut surgery, and acute care surgery, preparing him to manage even the most challenging surgical cases with precision and expertise.
Known for his compassionate approach and clear communication, Dr. Purewal is committed to guiding patients through every step of their surgical journey. He is currently accepting new patients and referrals for both primary and revisional procedures.
