Why Choose Emsella for Pelvic Health Issues

Emsella targets the pelvic floor muscles, helping to enhance neuromuscular control and alleviate urinary incontinence (the involuntary loss of urine). This groundbreaking technology offers a non-invasive solution that transforms intimate health and wellness for both men and women. The pelvic floor muscles are a group of muscles that support the pelvic organs. When these muscles are strong, they help control bladder and bowel function. However, when they become weakened, they lose their ability to fully support the internal organs, leading to difficulties in controlling urine when one coughs, sneezes, jumps, or laughs. As a result, patients may find themselves avoiding exercise or limiting activities with their children. Over time, this issue can progressively worsen. Various physiological changes, including vaginal delivery, menopause, and aging, can naturally weaken the pelvic floor muscles.

How the Treatment Works

Emsella offers a non-invasive solution for incontinence, helping both men and women restore confidence and enhance intimate health. By utilizing HIFEM® (high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology), this advanced treatment stimulates thousands of pelvic floor muscle contractions, similar to Kegel exercises. These contractions work to re-educate and strengthen weakened pelvic floor muscles, improving neuromuscular control and alleviating urinary incontinence. However, this treatment is not recommended for individuals with electronic or metal implants.  It is important to understand that one needs at least 6 treatments to see improvement.

What to Expect from the Treatment and Results

During the procedure, you may feel your pelvic floor muscles contracting in ways you weren’t aware of. Most patients experience no pain or side effects, though some may feel tingling and muscle contractions. The treatment lasts for 30 minutes, and you can return to your daily activities IMMEDIATELY. A typical treatment plan includes six sessions, coordinated for once or twice a week. Please consult with your provider to develop a personalized plan tailored to your needs.

Many patients notice significant improvements in pelvic muscle strength and bladder function after just 6 treatments. Furthermore, studies have shown that HIFEM technology is up to seven times more effective than traditional Kegel exercises in strengthening the pelvic floor. Recipients of the treatment often report feeling a sense of increased freedom and increased confidence in not having to wear incontinence pads or panty liners!!   In addition, many experience enhanced sexual function, which can improve the quality of life for both women and their partners. Research demonstrates an average 64% improvement in urinary incontinence and a 57% reduction in the use of hygiene pads. Patients also report better sleep, as women no longer need to wake up as frequently during the night to use the restroom, leading to more energy during the day.  This improvement in sleep architecture actually can lead to weight loss!
